MISSION
 
To foster excellence and equity in public education by providing objective, reliable information and research to school boards and other education policy makers.

 

GOALS

 
  1. To inform policies, actions and beliefs for excellence and equity in public education;
  2. To develop the foundation as a respected, unbiased, and credible source of information related to current and emerging educational policy issues;
  3. To maintain the highest standards in donor relationships and stewardship.  

  

KEY STRATEGIES

  1. Conduct research relevant to PK-12 public schools by:
    1. completing original research at the state and national level, and
    2. synthesizing existing research and information.
  2. Disseminate research and information to educational leaders, public policy makers, and those who support them by:
    1. producing critical summaries of research and information in various formats,
    2. creating/accessing a variety of outlets for dissemination, and
    3. establishing partnerships that can enhance the dissemination of research/information.
  3. Support the use of research and information by:
    1. partnering with IASB and other school board associations,
    2. partnering with universities, educational organizations, and other agencies with similar interests
    3. creating tools/processes that support the use of research and information.
